When I was a little boy, my brothers and I had our bouncing, boisterous and fiercely loyal Rhodesian Ridgeback. We called him Dodge. We adored him. I always looked forward to playing with him after school. 

Dodge was a beloved part of our family. 

So when I got back home from school, Dodge would rush to the gate, wagging his tail excitedly waiting for me to open the gate and give him a warm embrace.

I looked forward to our little routine everyday. Except for one thing. Dodge’s breath stank. Not just a little, but quite a bit. I didn't really know what caused it, or if this was at all common. 

One day, I came back from school. But something unusual happened. Dodge was not there to meet me. This struck me as odd. Upon entering the house, I was informed of the news that our beloved Dodge had been killed by a hit and run driver. The gate had been left open and Dodge being Dodge had ventured out of the yard.

We were all devastated. 

What does Dodge’s bad breath and death have anything to do with Furly- Planet? Well, I am glad you asked. Everything , I would say.

Now, let me explain.

As the years have gone by, I felt the urge to do something for dogs, that would in some way honour Dodge’s life. I just didn't know how I was going to do it. 

And then it hit me. Why not start a family run business that is centred on helping dog parents solve everyday problems facing their dogs? And that is how Fur Planet was born. Our promise to you is that we bring safe, effective and high quality products that will help your dog’s quality of life.

You care about your dog like you would your own child. The joy and unconditional love that your dog brings to your life is unrivalled, that is why we know the high standards you expect in the products your dogs use.

You also, sadly,  know that many dogs are not shown unconditional love…some are abandoned in shelters.

And some are not cared for by large pet products manufacturers who put harmful ingredients in their products simply to make more profit.

We wanted to be part of the solution. That’s why we set out to create fantastic products that are of high quality, 100% safe, and highly effective…
